We recently asked a few of our staff members some questions so that you could get to know them better as camp nears. Meet Nolan Early!

Q. How many summer’s have you worked at Tate’s Day Camp?

A. This will be my fourth summer at Tate’s Day Camp as a staff member, and I was a camper here from 2003 through 2008.

Q. What is your job title?

A. I am the Assistant Discovery Program Director.

Q. What does your job entail?

A. My job is to support and train staff; work with other directors to create programming around our 10 weekly themes; communicate with parents; and provide supervision to campers ages three to six years old.

Q. What is your favorite part about camp?

A. My favorite part of camp is the dodgeball battle at the end of week nine. Both the campers and staff get so excited as the week builds and they practice their strategy and unite as a team.

Q. Are you currently in school? If so, what are you studying?

A. I am currently studying finance at The University of Tennessee. I want to find a career in business after graduation.

Q. What are you most looking forward to this summer?

A. I am looking forward to seeing my kids from previous years that I only see during the summer. I am also looking forward to taking on more of a leadership role and working closer with the counselors to help them provide the best summer ever for all of our campers.
